Sinopsys:

An autofictional experimental film that re-purposes personal home videos from the director’s childhood to tell a coming-of-age story that juxtaposes its ordinary imagery to a mythological narrative.
Statement:
“No man is an island entire of itself; every man
is a piece of the continent, a part of the main”
- John Donne
An experimental film that utilizes home videos as a tool for creating a personal mythology through an auto-fictional narrative that explores and challenges issues surrounding the "masculine ideal" - such as generational trauma and toxic masculinity.
These recontextualized images are accompanied by a poetic narration that harkens back to the oral tradition associated with myths and some of its most prominent tropes, such as the tension of nature x nurture and the act of migration as a means of personal transformation.
